Merit Beauty is one of those beauty brands I genuinely get excited about. It all started with that signature corduroy bag for me. I NEEDED IT! It is so chic, a great way to stand out from the sea of beauty products that have hit the market in recent years. Their products are clean, vegan, cruelty-free, and sustainable. They also boast skin-loving formulas that work in harmony with skin. (All my sensitive-skinned ladies rejoice!) Merit has done a fabulous job honing its grown and sexy vibe with approachable makeup essentials that w ill never leave you over or under-done. It bears a resemblance to Glossier, but more grown up. The Carrie Bradshaw of minimalist makeup.
A few products have already been staples in my makeup bag like the Flush Balm Blush in Berry and the Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil in Sangria. My new obsession is these satin finish lipsticks. They have a fabulous formula that doesn’t emphasize any dryness on the lips. They don’t leave a stain and have the longevity of most other lipsticks. There is something about this product I adore. It could be that low-key luxury energy the brand exudes because I am unbothered when lunchtime rolls around and I need to reapply.

Usually, I am a matte lipstick lover but these shades were eye-catching. I’m happy the formula isn’t too shiny or dry on the lips. I purchased Tiger(Brick Red) and L’Avenue(Berry Brown). Obsessed is an understatement. Tiger is a unique orange-red brown that screams fall. I don’t think I’ve seen a shade quite like this one. Stunning. A very one-and-done minimal look suits this color well. L’Avenue is a red-brown, with hints of berry. I must confess I have been wearing this color nonstop since I got it. Such a versatile color that elevates your look without being too much.

Merit Beauty creates intentional beauty products that are stunning. From the packaging to the formula, these lipsticks feel luxurious. Plus, these shades would look good on anyone. I’ve had my eye on the brown shade 1990. That might be coming home to mama…
How I Wear It: Typically I apply it by dabbing it on my lips straight from the bullet. The blurred look is so beautiful. You can build this formula for a truer color payoff if desired. On days when I am less lazy, I like to line my lips with a brown liner (I’ve been loving Anastasia Beverly Long Lasting Matte Lip Liner in Cool Brown) and then apply it. The liner adds a polished touch.
