Taemin adds to his incredible repertoire with the release of his 4th Mini Album ‘Guilty’ in October 2023. A heavily anticipated album by his fans after his mandatory military service, Taemin proves yet again he’s a total natural at this.
As a huge fan of Taemin, I had to get the box version of this mini-album. It did not disappoint, and there were many extras housed in the shoebox everything was packaged in. The photoshoots are effortless and gorgeous, and I love the stripped-down, moody vibe the pictures have. The photos complement the songs very well. Leave it to Taemin to execute a kickass concept coupled with a flawlessly assembled album. The songs have a great range from charismatic and bold, like “The Rizzness”, to dramatic, like “Guilty”. It is no surprise that Taemin’s artistic abilities have an infinite range. “Night Away” is a velvety smooth and emotional track. The softness in Taemin’s voice complements the lyrics well, making it one of my favorites on the album. This mini-album doesn’t exactly showcase anything new, but it continues to demonstrate his artistry and his ability to consistently deliver.
I have to take a moment to talk about the “Guilty” music video. I did not think anything could top the “Advice” music video, which I have admittedly watched countless times. The “Guilty” music video has a different vibe. I love the story being told, the drama, the fashion; it all has a dark, dreamy feel to it.
As a fan, I am always in awe of what he is capable of bringing to every project. He is truly one of one.
